How much does kitchen cabinet wrapping cost in Québec City?

Kitchen cabinet wrapping costs $3,200 on average in Québec City for a full kitchen. That is about $1,300 less than professional cabinet painting and 5 to 10 times cheaper than a full replacement, which starts around $25,000. The exact price of your kitchen depends mainly on the number of doors and the surfaces to cover. Every one of our finishes is the same price. You get it after a free in-home quote, and the signed price does not change.

How much does cabinet wrapping cost compared with other options?

There are three common ways to refresh a kitchen in Québec. Here is how they compare on average.

Wrapping is the least expensive of the three options, and also the fastest. Replacement is still the right choice if you want to change the kitchen layout or if your cabinet boxes are too damaged to keep.

What makes the price of cabinet wrapping vary?

Every kitchen is different. That is why we do not give a fixed price online without seeing your cabinets. Three things move the bill.

The number of doors and drawer fronts. This is the main factor. A small condo kitchen with about fifteen doors costs less than a large family kitchen with more than 30 doors and fronts.

Surfaces beyond the doors. An island, side panels, a countertop or a backsplash add surface and therefore installation time.

The condition of the cabinet boxes. We check the structure of your cabinets during the visit. Wrapping changes the look, it does not repair a broken box.

The finish, on the other hand, does not change the price. Our catalogue holds more than 400 finishes, from super matte white to wood, stone, marble and metal effects, and they are all the same price. You choose by taste, not by budget.

What is included in the price?

The quoted price covers all the work at your home. We clean and degrease the surfaces, apply the film with heat on the doors and fronts, seal the corners and adjust the hinges. Installation takes a single day, about 8 hours for a residential kitchen, and you can cook the same evening.

The material carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty and the installation is guaranteed for 1 year in writing. If a section lifts because of an installation defect, we come back and fix it free of charge.

What are the limits of cabinet wrapping?

Wrapping is not the right solution for every kitchen, and we would rather tell you before the visit.

We only wrap flat doors. Shaker and moulded doors are not suited to wrapping. If your doors have that style, we build custom flat doors at competitive prices. Contact us to discuss it.

Wrapping does not change the kitchen layout. If you want to move the sink, add cabinets or change the floor plan, you need renovation work.

A broken box stays broken. The film covers a sound surface. It does not replace a cabinet box that is swollen from water or coming apart.

A real example in Beauport

In Beauport, aged cabinets were brought up to date with the SMT24 super matte white finish. The boxes were solid, only the finish was dated. The kitchen kept its structure, countertops and plumbing, and the change was done in one day.
